Minority Report Frame Analysis
In the opening scenes before this picture, we see broken shots of a family who appears to be in trouble. We see snippets of blood, screaming and scissors which draws us to the conclusion of a family struggle and a possible murder. Along with this, the opening scenes are very dark and blurry so it appears that these events were happening in the past, and that we are witnessing a flashback. In contrast to this, following the dark flashback is a bright, futuristic scene of Agatha. This drastic color change clearly shows that the time period switches from past to present. In addition, they used a transition going from an extreme close up of the eye in the previous scene, to zooming out of a new eye which was Agathas. This zoom in/zoom out effect used by the director shows that Agatha was the one witnessing the flashback. We can also draw this conclusion based off of the camera angles in the scene above.
